ATDI chooses the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign, as their Charity of the Year. This choice recognises the medical treatment and support provided to ATDI’s lead engineer, Nick Kirkman, during his recent illness.
The Royal Marsden was the world’s first hospital dedicated to cancer treatment. The hospital has gained international recognition for its pioneering work in patient care, research and treatment and currently treats over 40,000 patients every year from all over the world. Hospital spokesperson says, “This ongoing campaign aims to make a real difference not only to to everyone who walks through the doors of the Royal Marsden but also by supporting the development of innovative treatments and care for cancer sufferers worldwide.”
Nick was diagnosed with aggressive B-cell high grade Lymphoma in April 2008. After extensive chemotherapy at the Royal Marsden he is currently in remission and planning to return to work in spring 2009.
The Charity of the Year provides focus for ATDI’s charitable donation and fund raising efforts. For more information visit: www.royalmarsden.org/Campaign/home
