Cyprien de Cosson is stepping aside to concentrate on the technical side of the business. He will be replaced by current operations director, Peter Paul.
“It’s been a real honour leading the company,” Cyprien says, “but my heart has always been in solving technical problems. I am very lucky that ATDI is giving me the freedom to go and do that. There are a lot of other things involved in being a managing director – which Peter is brilliant at – and I’m very happy to pass on those duties.”
Peter notes: “Cyprien has been excellent at the helm of the company. He demurs about this, but he has been a fine figurehead. Clearly, though, it makes lots of sense for him to spend his time doing the thing that makes him happy and which he is best at – and nobody has technical knowledge or problem-solving abilities like Cyprien.”
Cyprien, who took over as MD in 2009 succeeding company co-founder John Berry, will become an Associate. Peter, who has been with ATDI since 2000, has more than 35 years’ experience in telecommunications. During his time with ATDI, he has undertaken a variety of different roles and has long-standing relationships with some of ATDI’s key accounts including the UK’s MOD and Motorola. Peter is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology; he has a BSc from the Open University.
