ATDI along with UK companies ESYS, Schema and Mott MacDonald recently formed a partnership offering a complete range of telecommunications consultancy services. Initially, the consortium was formed to bid into Ofcom, the newly formed UK telecommunications regulator. Tenders released in mid-2004 were to appoint a number of preferred consultancy suppliers. The four principals of the partnership recognise the wider benefits of its creation and now aim to work together on future opportunities.
As John Berry, Managing Director of ATDI, noted: “Where the customer needs diverse extremes of both breadth and depth, the consortium is an ideal way of providing a one-stop shop. As a group, we have some of the best brains in the industry extending to economics, markets, network engineering, modelling and implementation.”
Commenting on the formation, Tom Allen, Divisional Managing Director of Mott MacDonald said: “This consortium follows some years of less formal cooperation between the companies. While the group was formed for a single purpose, we believe there are many other potential customers who have the same need for quality consultancy support across technologies and throughout any project’s lifecycle. We look forward to offering our joint services to others.”
