Will you still love me when I get ode?

Will you still love me when I get ode?

ATDI is entering into the true spirit of the Olympics. We’re mindful that the early games had two parts in that competitors were judged on both their athletic prowess and their poetry. So, while you might have come second in the race, if your ode was better than the other guy’s, you won overall.  What a shame this aspect has been dropped from the modern games. A eulogy to the beauty of celestial love written by a 25-stone Bulgarian weightlifter who eats conkers for breakfast would definitely be worth staying up late for.

Anyway, here’s a few to be going on with:

The old Olympic torch
Burnt down my porch
I’m getting the blame
For not putting out the flame

The Orbit Tower in Stratford
Looks like a cat would
Have designed it
Is it art or is it…er, something else

We’re here in 2012
Is anyone going to delve
Into Ofcom’s Olympic plans?
Or just leave it in their hands
