A year of celebrations is kicking off this month as ATDI’s 25th birthday arrives.
It was in May 1991 that the company was founded and, according to UK managing director Sarah Byrne, it’s been a quarter century of excellence ever since.
“We’ve worked with spectrum regulators, companies of all sizes, the armed forces and the emergency services,” she says. “We have learned much and achieved more. It’s been a journey of partnerships, people and progress and we have loved all of it.”
She notes that ATDI’s suite of software tools has been in continuous development throughout the company’s history and, having been shaped by 25 years of customer feedback, is now better able than ever to meet the needs of users.
“And we could say pretty much the same thing about our engineers,” she adds.
The starting point of the year of celebrations will be a social evening at the company’s head offices next to Gatwick Airport on June 8, featuring the best of Sussex food and drink. “We love being located where we are,” Sarah comments. “Gatwick is connected in every way imaginable so we couldn’t be more accessible, and our offices in The Beehive, Gatwick’s original terminal building, are full of history and art deco beauty.
“But we are also in the heart of Sussex with some amazing food and drink producers on the doorstep. The party will feature their products, as well as a unique, Sussex-made gift for people to enjoy at home.
“We’re looking forward to seeing customers, partners and friends at the party but there will definitely be more to come from us in the next 12 months in terms of events to mark our first quarter-century. It’s an exciting time for ATDI, both in terms of where we’ve been and where we’re going, and we want to remain excited about it not just for one evening but for the year.”
