It’s not just the emergency services who can move at great speed when required.
ATDI’s planning and modelling work for an upgrade to a police radio network in a continental European country meant a rapid deployment of engineering expertise.
“Following a call to our office at Gatwick, we had an engineer in country the next day for a meeting the following morning,” notes ATDI associate Peter Paul. “It’s one of the great assets of being a small and flexible company that we are agile enough to do this.”
The mid-life upgrade of the police network is being handled using ATDI’s planning and modelling software ICS telecom backed by consultancy services from the company’s experienced engineers.
“The project relates, as such things generally do, to upgrading coverage and looking for extra spectrum capacity when needed,” Peter says. “All the emergency services need extra capacity when there is an incident or a big event like a major football match. It’s vital to ensure it is available the instant it is required which makes a planning and modelling task like this both challenging and fulfilling when it is complete.”
