ATDI has won silver in its 25th anniversary year.
The company previously held Investors in People’s bronze standard but has now stepped up a level to silver.
“It’s an important indication of our continuing development in this area,” says ATDI UK managing director Sarah Byrne. “What it means is that our staff are happy, are more knowledgeable than they have ever been and are supported in their development in all areas. It’s something customers appreciate knowing when they are dealing with us.”
The Investors in People standard addresses a company’s leadership, staff support and development. To achieve the silver standard requires a company to show its management is setting clear objectives and leading and inspiring the company’s staff. In terms of support, it stipulates that staff must have their effort and achievement recognised and rewarded, and that everybody fits into a conducive company structure. As part of the development process, Investors in People says the standard requires that “people’s capabilities are actively managed and developed. This allows people to realise their full potential and ensures that the organisation has the right people at the right time for the right roles.”
Sarah comments: “ATDI has always believed in people and the power of people. I wouldn’t have been here for 16 years if it didn’t. Investors in People’s silver award is a very nice external validation of what I see every day.”
